I am a student at Sheffield Hallam University undertaking a project about the history of housing of the Park Hill Flats and Manor Oaks Road. Is there anybody out there who can offer me any information?

i went to wybourn school on manor oakes road.

I was brought up on the Wybourn and lived on the Hyde Park Flats until the age of 18!
I would be willing to tell you anything you would like to know!

Used to live on Duke St, just above junction with Manor Oaks Road although when I lived there it was called Hampton Street.

I too used to live on the Wybourn Estate, 1st moved into 95 Wybourn house rd back in 1977/8 for a year or 2, then moved onto 165 Maltravers rd (next door to the Fairhursts) 'til about 1983/4 before then moving onto Hyde Park flats Roland row). My mums best mate (who my bruv and i called Auntie Pat) lived at the corner of Whites Lane/Manor Oakes rd on the left.We went to St Oswalds R/C primary school. Always drive through reminiscing when i'm in Sheffield.Not changed much there!!!!!!!!

my nannan live on manor oaks road most of her life she lived at 228 her name was doreen burgin and she was married to martin patrack burgin ...my nan was well known on manor oaks road so was my uncles and auntie there names were peter john micheal jean martinn burgin(am jeans daughter )strict lady but that was a goodthing cos my nannan as made me who i am today...she sadly died 4yrs ago and me and my daughter miss her soooooo much ...if ya doreen or any of the family please leave a qoute ,,,,and my nannan never said a bad word about anybody ....missssss ya nan xx
