If you have a friend who uses the forum, and pm's you, or you have met a fellow forummer & go on to read their posts...
Do you read them & 'hear' /imagine their voice?
I do & have only just noticed

I thought of you only the other day Don.....tee hee
Yes,
Always have done, ever since I started using online communities with The Well and CIX in the 1980s.
It's weird how often the voices match when you meet the people as well!

Aye - and it can be so damned annoying. There are certain voices you just do not want to hear in your head as the sound of them stirs the heart strings and gets the blood racing.
I tend to avoid certain people's posts for just that reason.
Ah well! Sometimes cannot be avoided and then the floodgates of memory are opened wide.
Amazing how the mind can conjure up a persons voice and you know you are reading what was typed and hearing it exactly as the person would have spoken the words to you.

Dammit... wish I had avoided this thread!!!! now I keep reading all your posts in voices Arrghh :hihi:

It gets even worse when you actually start hearing the voices. That's the time to start worrying about your sanity. I do not worry about mine as I lost it some time ago, and even though I reported it as missing to the local constabulary, not heard a thing about it.

No, I never hear the voice, I just read it.

I don't always hear the voice as such, but if a friend of mine who I know in 'reality' not just online says something over msn/pm/text I can sometimes imagine them saying it - especially if it's funny - and you can just imagine how they'd have said it, it's very amusing.

Same with me :) and I agree, especially when they are saying something nice or funny, its so much easier, not as easy when people are saying nasty things, but thats probably a good thing.
