Back in the 60s I use to visit my gran in shiregreen.
She always had lots of goodies she'd stock up for me in a big plastic bread bin thing. These goodies were brought courtesy of a woman named Mary who came once a week . I remember she use to sell her wares in this sort of thing that went over her shoulders like the one cinema ice cream ladies use to wear.
She sold everything from potatoes to biscuits.
She use to wear a kind of Brown boiler suit thing perhaps similar to someone in the war time Land Army- real country woman lol.
She'd stay and chat for ages.
I beleive she came from one of the farms quite local (Hartley Brook, ecclesfield area)
Do any of the older ones on here remember her.
