This topic is only really relevant to myself, Duffman and any other Stannington residents to be honest, but here goes...

They've recently installed a Link ATM cash machine outside the co-op on Oldfield Road.

WHOOPEE! No more will I have to traipse all the way down Hillsborough when I've got no money on me for t' pub, I can just use the co-op cash machine, and then saunter off up the road to the Crown and Glove for the quiz....

I've been saying ever since we moved up to Stannington from lower Walkley 6 years ago last November that the one thing this area needed (apart from a reliable bus service), was a cash machine somewhere in the vicinity of the village shops, and now my prayers are answered, in part anyway, it appears the bloody thing isn't plugged in yet so is not yet dispensing any money

Oh well, good things come to he who waits I s'pose.

One of the reasons the Co-Op was given permission to open the shop was on the provision that they installed a cash machine, it has just taken longer than expected.

Oh, I didn't realise that.

Oh and Steelblade, did you do anything with that tip off I gave you about a possible job for you?

Thanks Rich but I've got a few other options I'd like to look at first.

I have applied for some voluntary work working with kids in care which is what I really want to do.

I've also applied for a job in the civil service to take me to September when I'll either go onto an access course or Uni.

If this civil service job doesn't come off then I might call your friend it all depends on the pay I guess.

I just need to make as much money as possible between now and September.
