How drunk have you ever been on vodka? [Archive]

Whilst in college ( many moons ago) we once purchase a bottle of Vodka before going into the local club. I thought the bottle was going down fast and could not understand while i was getting very drunk and everyone else seemed fine.

My friends ( the little darlings) were only filling my glass up and not their own ( cidar and vodka :gag: ).

I ended up in the recovery position with someone screaming ''take her to the hospital'' in the back ground. I was then carried down 20+ stairs ( by the way I am not a small girl and my top was one of those wrap over thingies ) to a friends mum's car were i started throwing up. To be quite crude they found a whole gerkin in the back of the car and blamed me for it.

Mum and dad did not know I was out that night and thought I was in college so I ended up at another friends house where they attached a mop bucket to my head untill a very amused dad came to pick me up.

Never touched the stuff for 10 years and only now am I able to start drinking the stuff ...... oh well happy days.:clap:

Thats a great story, I am sure it was not great at the time, HIGHLY dangerous actually but I am sure you look back and giggle.

I rarely, rarely throw up when I've had a skinfull, but hats off to Vodka because a few summers ago I drunk a ridiculous amount of the stuff and ended up chundering the following morning.

I drunk it with firstly, tomato juice and then with fresh orange juice. I reckon it was the acid that did it for me!

Anyway, I'm quite sure I haven't touched the stuff since. Still, as throwing up goes, it was not a painful experience like it is when you bring gin back up - that strips your throat to pieces.

When I was at sea (swings lantern, sweeps parrot **** off shoulder, adjusts wooden leg) I went through a Voddie phase. I drank huge amounts one afternoon with orange juice somewhere in the Caribbean. I was so drunk that I tried capsizing the liberty boat taking us back out to the ship that was out at anchor. Don't think my Captain who was on the liberty boat too was impressed. I carried on drinking Vodka when we got on board but for some reason could not stand up when I got out of my bunk the next morning. My legs folded up underneath me like they were made of rubber. Don't do spirits anymore.

Most i've ever drunk is almost a litre in one setting.

It was my birthday and I drank it over a period of about 13/14 hours.

It was my third worst hangover.

This being a family forum i can't tell :hihi: but i was so drunk on cheap vodka in Lincoln last year...:gag: thats how i looked the next day.

Yes must admit the name did throw me!!!

Daft stories...weed on my computer many years ago and blamed a leaking pipe. When there was no sign of a leak it became clear where the water had come from.

For complete embarrassment being convniced in a full pub in Dublin it would be a good idea to set fire to my pubic hair!!

Downing quite a few vodka in succession walking out of a pub and being sick down my cousins back. To this day he still thinks he sat in it!!

Many more that i cant remember at the moment!

Mmmmm Vodka - pure nectar either with Bitter Lemon or Dandelion & Burdock.

Asda have the large Smirnoff usually costing £15 for £12 at the moment I have one, it's my precious :D

Even better it's Friday so it's the weekend so I can partake as I have restricted myself to weekends only.

I have got a bit silly on Vodka but fortunately I only discovered this drink in my late 30's so by then I had learnt when to stop before I did something really stupid - now the worse thing is I do is get loud and horny! :heyhey:

Sorry cant really remember. Went on a stag weekend in 1997. As you can tell i was very drunk then!!!

We stayed in a youth hostal that was like a tenner a night. Nothing posh!!

I have between 500ml and 1L of vodka to myself before I go out on a Friday and Saturday night, so my body is starting to resist it.

Although in Magaluf, I got wrecked on Southern Comfort, and then downed about 9 pints of vodka and red bull (half vodka, half red bull) in the space of about an hour.

Can't remember getting back to the hotel, and woke up in a puddle of my own pi$$ :)

(Funny thing was, I woke up at 5am, went into the main living area where my mate had passed out on the sofa so I told him to go to bed. I went to the toilet, came back and he was laid fast asleep in the bed I'd been in haha...)

I love it.. it's the one drink I can drink all night and not get a hangover in the morning. I just get silly on it.. I don't think I ever get drunk drinking vodka.. My favorites are Grey Goose and Absolut.. those you can drink stright!

An early session resulted in me being plastered by 8pm. I was 19. It had been all about Vodka. I went to the shops in my bra, thong and boyfriends size 11 trainers. :D

I've had various experiences with this devil in liquid form.

Most sadly I cannot remember very clearly, but there are one or two occasions which stick in my mind quite well, with friends mentioning ' near death' and 'hallucinating,vomiting,gibbering wreck'

Again I can second the comment regarding Uzo, I vaguely remember spending an evening with friends playing chase the ace with vodka, Uzo and Thunderbird being the poured into a tall glass for the 'winner'

i did try vodka and baileys once, but it made very ill, any drinks with cream in it make me sick, when i was a lot younger than i am now, and prestos supermarket was round the back of the moore, i once bought this drink called beachcomber, it was like malibu with cream in it, thought it would be a good idea to mix it with martini, it tasted lovely when i was drinking it, but it was not too good on the way back up, i learnt a valuable lesson that day, stay away from any drink that involves putting cream in it..........................

In my late teens, pre children, I used to drink a bottle a day of Vodka. I carried a half bottle in my pocket most places.

I remember going out one night with a mate and drinking 10 doubles and 8 pints of lager then falling asleep outside the Wellington (now Hillsborough Hotel) on the pavement. I woke up about 8am to find people walking past and stepping over me.

Stupid? Very!!

Do I do it now?

No way!!

I started vomiting blood through too much vodka so it was the wake up call I needed to stop my stupid behaviour.

Vodka = liquid evil.

I've been very drunk a few times on vodka, but not had any vodka since I got married as it can have unpleasant side effects.

SlimSid, if you are considering taking up drinking alcohol, I would suggest being careful. Don't drink more than one bottle of vodka in one sitting until you get used to it. ;)

I went blind on vodka at a huge party in London. Actually, it was Red Bull and Vodka. My vision resembled a de-tuned TV...just grey static. That was fun. I can no-longer even smell Red Bull...the scent alone makes me feel very ill.

I also got stupid drunk on Vodka in San Francisco. I think I tried to get someone to dance and ended up getting knee'd in the jewels. I think...that might or might not have happened. Anyway, I exited the club (Some goth/alternative/rock place) to find that I couldn't remember what hotel I was staying at. I wandered around downtown where I decided to enter an office building...the revolving doors were open so in I went to have the security guard gently place me back in the revolving doors in one fluid motion. Finding myself back on the street, I asked some people if they knew where my hotel might be. They put me in a yellow cab. After that, I remember the taxi drive had a turban and somehow dropped me off at my hotel. I forgot what room I was in and had to ask the poor receptionist. Several minutes later, I was outside my room door where I discovered I had lost the coordination skills to use the lock. So, I pounded on the door until my travelling companion let me in.

He had left the club earlier, so drunk that he forgot he was with me and decided to go home.

I felt GREAT the next day.

Hmm, I'd rather not talk about how drunk I was on vodka. It was 23 years ago, and you don't forget.

But my nemesis is tequila. Got hammered to death in San Francisco twice in a week, oh brother. Never, do you hear me, NEVER again. Also 19 yrs ago. Never touched it since.

I remember being 14 and managing to get hold of a bottle of Absolut Citron one night when me and my friends were camping out in one of their gardens.

I wondered why I was so much more drunk than everybody else but apparently they'd been mixing it woth coke!! When I was sick later I melted the grass :hihi:

Another time I was at the same friends house and we were having a party. We'd been drinking vodka since about 2pm so by 10 o'clock we were pretty drunk. One of the lads had a guitar out and was playing whilst we sung (yelped?) along. For some reason I was lying under the table (I think I was looking for the cat?!) and I happened to look up out of the window and saw....

My french teacher staring in!!

At this point it is worth noting that the teacher in question was called Mrs Dunn (and I am soooooo sorry Claudie if you're reading this as you must've got a prime view of my backside as my skirt was practically non-existant that night!!) and she was looking for the house of another teacher from our school who actually lived next door.

Anyway, at first nobody believed me that she was at the door, but eventually somebody answered. Meanwhile, we had all started singing "Oh Mrs Dunn, Oh Mrs Dunn" over and over again to the tune of a song by The Coral that was popular at the time!

All she said to me next lesson was "I see you are a bit more sober than the last time we met Rosalind!". I was very very very confused as I couldn't remember a thing so she proceeded to remind me (in front of the whole class and a few other teachers) exactly what had happened...

Not drank the stuff since, although I do have a bottle of Ouzo tucked away somewhere...

I drink cranberry juice to prevent a little bladder and kidney problem recurring, but nobody said that I couldn't put a little (well OK then, a lot) of vodka in it and have a sea breeze instead, did they? Very tasty, and you don't even notice that you're getting smashed until your feet stop working.

we used to have vodka vs bicardi drinking comps in our local across the table at uni. smuggle drink in and buy lots of lemonade off friendly bar staff

um, got very drunk on that stuff. It really is lethal. It made me feel great and energetic on the night but dreadful the day after, wishing I'd never drunk the stuff.
I've done that 3 times. The last time was 4 years ago. I now stick to my rum and black or rum and coke. No side effects!

I avoid the stuff now, but I used to drink far more than was healthy!

I once woke up with grass stains all over my clothes. We were on holiday at the time and found out later that the nearest greenery was over 80 miles away! To this day I don't know how / why we got there.... :loopy:

Needless to say, I stick to beer nowadays & the odd JD and coke.

Sometimes can drink over 20 shots and not get hammered - other times 3 shots and I'm wasted!

Remember one night drinking loads of vodka very quickly before heading off for Drop at the city hall.. I remember closing the front door of my house then nothing else about the rest of the evening!

Scary!

Particularly into Absolut Mandarin and Smirnoff Norsk at the moment MMMMMmmmmm :clap:

Dunno about the vodka tonight- 2 bottles of Weston's cider and the world's gone a little bit fuzzy! You have no idea how much I'm having to convcentrate to type this.

Oh, I've just looked at the bottle and it says that it's 8.2% alcohol, and I've just drunk a litre of it- htat would explain a lot!

Great stuff - but oh so many bad times!!

Worst one when I went back 'home', and went out on the p>ss with a old school mate a few years back. We'd been out since about 2pm, and ended up in quite a posh bar, and started to neck double vodka and red bulls.

Never again. My only memory of the night was singing v.loud on the walk home and then him phoning some woman whose number he had got years before when we got back to his parents' house, where we were kipping.

Four years worth of flashbacks, polite chat with some bouncers a year later, and other peoples comments (from people we knew and people we didn't) was that for ages, we were singing, jumping up and down ('moshin' sp.?), trying to get other people to dance, jumping on the bar, and being generally, very, very, offensive - in ways I can't type here!! We were dragged out and barred eventually.

A few days later (when I remembered the phone call) my mate looked at his mobile to find out what time we got back to his place that night (seriously thinking it must have been about 2am). It had been 8.30pm in the evening.

Ouch.

I have got legglest from it. Its all I ever drink. the worse time was on my sisters birthday.

When we got home my sister was about to helpme out of the wheelchair when I said "No its ok I can manage" I then pushed myself up out of the chair and it was as if my legs werent there. I then just collapsed on the floor.

Later on in the night my brother came in and saw me on my bed (eyes and mouth wide open and laid on my back) he ran tomy mum and said "Theres something wrong with Dan" and she said "No he is P****D"

In the morning i got up,my head was spinning and i could hardly move, I just collapsed on the settee and didnt move all day.

I havent been like that in ages, Infact it doesnt seam to affect me as bad now
