Cargo's 5th Birthday WAREHOUSE PARTY

ONE RECORDS SHOWCASE: SUBB-AN [LIVE] + ADAM SHELTON
_________________________________________________

Those of you that got our facebook group e-shot will know by now that we are taking our party on the road! And we're delighted to announce that our first nomadic adventure will see us entertain a seminal warehouse space in the city centre!

Not only that, but to get 2011 off to a flying start we are bringing in two of our favourite guests in the form of SUBB-AN + ADAM SHELTON!

In case you didn't know, the boys have agreed that if they are going to play in Sheffield in future, they will ONLY be playing at Cargo. They loved playing for us in 2010 & 2009 so much that they want to remain exclusive artists to our party. Isn't that lovely of them?

And to say that the lads and their ever impressive imprint One Records have had an amazing 2010 would be quite an understatement. Simply check out the links at the bottom for mixes and reviews of what the boys have been up to last year, plus a video of the last moments of our One Records party in April.

Best get ya hat eaten pal.

This is a fully licenced event, fully licensed bar and fully licensed door staff.

as for "someone overdoeses or dies"

Get a grip you tool! We have been running parties for the last 5 years and haven't once had to call the police, a ambulance or kick anyone out for fighting.

We have a strict zero drugs policy and keep the venue under wraps till as close to the event as possible so we don't attract the wrong crowd.

If you wish to discuss our parties further please feel free to email me or PM on here.

Advertising illegal events openly like this is so 10 years ago, most party rigs soon learned their lesson. This is legit.

As above - This event is 100% legal - and licensed with both SCC and South Yorkshire Police aware. If this was an illegal event we would not be advertising it on a public forum.

I must admit i once overdosed on Fun at one of these events!!

What business is it of yours to be doing this anyway?

We have nothing to worry about. The event is legal. Everything is above board and will be going ahead. The venue has had about 9 or 10 events there in the last year and it is a place of business, a place of work for lots of people and all of the authorities that need to know, do know.

If anyone turns up to inspect on the night they will be greeted with a full and official staff who have carried out duties there before under the supervision of the people at the Council who issue the TEN licenses.

You know absolutely nothing about the place or what work has been done to get the venue to the stage where parties such as ours can go on.

You need to lighten up my friend. People are calling you a tool because quite simply you are acting like one. Send me a PM and I will send you a free ticket so that you can come and see what this 'illegal party' is all about. Mind you on second thought, why would we want someone like you at our party? Hence the clandestine nature of the whole operation... keep the party sacred for those that we want there.

Erm, And how do you know our location and that its not a that its not a fully licensed venue and which is inspected by the EHO and council/fire safety officer?? You don't...

I think you need to also be aware of data protection law regarding seeking information about third parties....

As I said, please email me personally if you wish to discuss this further instead if letting your head do anymore thinking.

"you shall be asking for a update" What is it to do with you if we were, which as it happens, we are not.

Go troll someone else's thread, looking through your past SF forum posts it's what you do best.

Lastly The Falcon claims our event is illegal and shouldnt be allowed.

die 2B loco

I can assure you, and anyone else reading this for that matter, that things such as overcrowding etc have been dealt with in the legal and proper fashion.

Despite the size of the venue across all of the rooms (it is rather large) the capacity has to be capped due to the number of fire escapes etc. So fear not, this event will not be too full, there is excellent egress for emergency services in the inlikely event that any accidents occur. But like Grownsy said, in 5 years we have never had anything like that happen which is testament to our amazing crowd of sensible people and the excellent standards upheld by the venues in which we operate - this one included.

There is no safeguard agains idiots turning up and this is a risk as a promoter that you have to take, however using advance tickets and only releasing info about the venue to ticket holders and those that are part of our facebook group goes a long way into ensuring that the amount of 'unsavoury' people in the venue is kept to an absolute minimum with a target of ZERO! And for any that slip through the net, the security is there (if they misbehave).

While I'm at it, I should point out that tickets are selling very quickly with over two weeks to go. We may well sell out so don't snooze!!!

Yo Falcon - just to put your ****-stirring mind at rest, I'll let you into a secret; the police have sent officers to all previous events at this particular warehouse to check that the licence was in order and the there was no over-crowding.
