Apparently a man collapsed at dinner time outside Argos / Holiday Inn (angel street / city centre) at lunchtime today!
I dont want to speculate any further but new has it that it was an elderly gentleman who died at the scene!
Thoughts are with his family!

I think you need to learn when exclamation marks are appropriate!

I think you need to learn when english lessons are appropriate.
A thread about someone passing away maybe isn't one of those times....
Echoing Matt's post - a sad occurance, may he rest in peace.

PM from matt 1989:

Maybe I do!
But who are you to interupt a serious thread, to pick up on little things such as exclamation marks!
Shame on you! N*bhead

Couldn't help saying, it kind of creates the wrong impression, though I don't doubt your sincerity.
May he rest in peace my thoughts go out to his family and friends. (if its true)

Without sounding abrupt, this thread is very serious and quite disturbing never the less, and I find it rather upsetting that people can't help but add stupid posts without any consideration as to how others may feel.
Now ok, my typing may not be 100%
But please lets not be incosiderate as to forget the main issue, an elderly gentleman passed away in town today. (not very nice at all).
Lets just take a minute to think about this poor guy's family!
Sorry for moaning on!
Matt
I don't see the point of these threads.

sorry to hear about this.
but do we know this news to be 100% true, you have to be so careful writing these kinds of posts on forums, as news can easily spread around

I was about to say the same thing...
It's all very well reporting these things, but how about waiting until you know what has definitely happened rather than writing 'apparently' and 'without speculating'... and then speculating!
As far as I'm concerned, you don't factually know a man has collapsed OR died.

Definately see your point Dan, thats why i did'nt want to speculate, and if you check the title, (man collapses) i have only added what I have been told about the mans condition!
I did witness this, but another pedestrian told me about him passing away!
MOD: Thanks to the op for the info. Closing the thread before it descends even further into niggling and bickering. Thanks.
