Take Kontrol is a new live music night, on the first Thursday of every month at West Street Live (on West Street, Sheffield). As well as fantastic live bands, there will be console tournaments, games and competitions with prizes!

All events are free entry and after the bands there are live DJs playing until 2.00am! Drinks offers that are on all night include:

Headlining the evening will be the best thing to come out of Chesterfield since the A61, HALF-CUTT. Formerly known as "Drummer vs. DJ", the two-piece combine samples, DJing, laptops and live drums to produce an immense live show that is not to be missed. Take Kontrol is delighted to have them play what promises to be a truly special 45-minute set.

CALAMITY ACES serve up a brash slice of punk rock, drizzled with riffs and attitude. Well-established after a year on the local scene, they wear their influences on their sleeves and are sure to appeal to fans of the likes of Rancid and Green Day.

Opening the show will be the eerily fabulous LOW DUO. In existance for just six months, the Greenwood brothers have wasted no time in racking up media plaudits and radio airplay. When you hear their beautiful, ambient acoustic music, you'll understand why.
