Wednesday 5th January saw the arrival of a final festive surprise here at Whirlow – our first lamb of the season! Young Noel's arrival marks the start of an exciting time here on the farm – Spring!

We are throwing our gates open to the public on Sunday 23rd January for the first of two annual lambing days, to coincide with the annual farmhouse breakfast week.

Come along for a chance to meet our newest arrivals, listen to lambing talks throughout the day and a rare opportunity to witness the birth of our lambs – live! Join in with exciting children’s activities provided by Sparkles events, then warm up with delicious food from the Whirlow Breakfast BBQ, sample the finest local produce in our farm shop or relax in our cosy café.

Please note this event is not advisable for pregnant women and dogs are not allowed.

Hi there Wendy,

The number 30 bus to Dore comes up this way regularly. There is a bus stop at the bottom of Croft Lane on Ecclesall Road South, if you ask the bus driver for this stop and tell them you are coming to the farm. The event starts at 11am until 3pm, we look forward to seeing you on Sunday!
