I don't watch Coronation Street much and I know I have only myself to blame for whatever rubbish is inflicted on me, but last night I was torn between acute embarrasement, nausea and hysterical laughter. The sight of this very unattractive lady trying to play the coquette was quite the most excruciatingly awful television I have seen in many a year. The horrendous scene in the restaurant (I will never be able to order Tiramaso again with a straight face) was followed by the come to bed seduction in the street, they both looked ridiculous the man must be 2 foot taller than her, could the producers have found a worse match for her, I think not. Having said all of that I do find the scottish foot fetish man very attractive, so please BBC keep him and get rid of the chinless blond.

Even though I am a big corrie fan, i'm afraid I have to agree with you! I actually felt embarrased for the turtle necked one! I see what you mean about Gulliaf though (the scottish giant) he is kinda tasty in a weird sort of way!

My husband also thinks Gail is terribly unattractive but I don't and I think her haircut looks well on her.

Strangely enough I don't find her fancyman attractive whatsoever, I wouldn't look twice at him.

As they say, one man's meat is another man's poison! LOL. Wish I'd seen it last night though.

I saw that episode and it really made me cringe. They are both a right pair of mingers if you ask me and bearing in mind I usually watch the programme whilst eating my dinner, I think I will have to have a re-think and make sure my stomach is well settled before I watch another episode of Corrie - Just in case there are any further romantic encounters between the two!

I must confess I find Steve's new girlfriend very attractive. She has a classical beauty, combining a gorgeous, womanly figure with a very pretty, interesting face and a sultry voice, reminiscent of the hour-glass figured temptresses played by top Hollywood actresses in the 1950s. I think she will go far.

I must agree with the comments made about the distinctly unappealing Gail though - her 'come on' signals were cringemaking and enough to make the guy want to run all the way back to Scotland.

Indeed, the two women mentioned above are living proof that, for a man, there is nothing more beautiful in this world than a beautiful woman and nothing uglier than an ugly one.

Oh don't pick on Gail.

She's not had an easy life you know.

I agree with you Adventurer. And I like her hair cut too. I think this is the most attractive she has looked. She had a lovely frock on the other day. Very classy.

Though my other half thinks she is a minger.

I know it's odd and I have never admitted it to family or friends.

 you llluuuuvvveee her :hihi: lol

What must it be like to be the actor, Michael Angelis? He married Helen Worth, who portrays 'Gail Platt' on Coronation Street. Imagine the shock of encountering her almost vulpine features across the pillows every morning. The very idea makes the senses reel. I would rather encounter the Monster of Glamis.

Here's an interesting fact. Michael Angelis narrates the Thomas the Tank Engine TV shows (he took over from Ringo) and back in 1968 his brother Paul did Ringo's voice for the Yellow Submarine movie.

Not a lot of people know that!

And there's more...........He played the rabbit obsessed Lucien in The Liver Birds, so he's used to waking up with small furry creatures ...........

I felt sorry for the chap when I read your posting Timo but on reflection he is positively ugly himself, so just maybe it's a match made in heaven. I don't want the to think about those two sharing a pillow, please don't go there.

I'm thinking about this and actually enjoying it. However, in my thoughts they're being smothered by the pillow. :D
