Is anybody going? I'm so tempted just to see what they really look like... Does anyone know what time they're switching the lights on?

if any terrorists are reading and want to improve their public image maybe a double murder would help.

City Lights

Sunday 20th November, 1.30pm - 5.30pm

Sheffield City Centre is set for a feast of festive, family entertainment at this year’s City Lights event.

The festive fun will take place across the City Centre, focused around the Peace Gardens, Fargate, Town Hall Square, Tudor Square, The Moor and the Winter Garden. Entry to the event is completely free.

Children's TV favourites Dick and Dom - Sheffielder Richard McCourt and Dominic Wood from Exeter - will be leaving Da Bungalow to do the honours at this year's City Lights party at 5pm (on the Hallam FM stage in the Peace Gardens). The BBC children's TV favourites presents were recently nominated for two children's Baftas for the second year running. Their show Dick And Dom In Da Bungalow is broadcast on Saturday mornings on BBC1 and on Sundays on the CBBC channel.

Last year City Lights attracted crowds of 18-20,000 into the City Centre to see Pop idol Darius turn on the lights. Organisers are anticipating an even greater turn out this year!

You can expect a packed line up of family fun, including a famous name to switch on the lights from the Peace Gardens at 5pm, Hallam FM stage providing live music throughout the event, real reindeers, living nativity scene, seasonal market, festive food, carol singers, and even Father Christmas making an appearance.

Plus, see Postman Pat one of the stars of CBeebies Live!
