Looked on the website and have a pretty goo didea of prices, skate times etc. But our 4 year old wants to start skating (oh shudder).

Anyway, does anybody use Ice Sheffield, what is it like and do you still get the mandatory idiots who have no disregards for others by bombing round like loons, like they used to at Queens Road.

My friends daughter has had lessons at Ice Sheffield since she was 5...she's now nearly 9.

She loves her lessons and her ability has improved to such a level that for the last 2 years she has being included in shows where a selection of the skaters from each age group perform etc

I think you should consider lessons first rather than take your child to a ''casual'' skating session where they may feel intimidated by the varying degrees of ages/ability!

I don't think the lessons cost the earth although it would mean early mornings...

:D

Yes, you would probably be safer with lessons. I must warn you that the standard of first aid at this venue leaves a lot to be desired!

If you are going to skate with your child then Sunday morning is family time and is usually fairly quiet until 12.00. If you don't intend to skate then the skate UK lessons are good.

We took our two to the family session on Sunday morning when they were 4 and 6. They really enjoyed it.

The public sessions are often full of chav idiots unfortunately. It was great when Queens Rd was still open as all the idiots went to IS and left Queens Rd to those of us who wanted to skate instead of show off their latest pieces of Argos jewellery and burberry clothing :)
