Went past today and it was boarded up, yet another pub closers on the Shiregreen :o only the working mens clubs and The Pheasant left.

Used to really love the penguin. Most thursdays in the late 70`s a load of us used to start in the shiregreen and then go up to the penguin to watch whichever heavy metal band was on at the time. The manet they served was always spot on as well. Happy days. :clap:
