We had a 6 CD changer in the old car but have just a single CD player in the new one so I'd like to swap it out for an MP3 player.

I don't know if its the type of thing your after but Halfords is one of the places in Sheffield that sell universal adapters for car audio.

So if you buy a pioneer MP3 player and have a Vauxhall car, you buy the Pioneer to Vauxhall adapter and then you don't need to cut any wires.

Other than that Halfords do a fitting service. The only other one I know of is on St Mary's Gate but I can't remember the name of them.

Edit: that should read 'local car audio dealer' :mrgreen: I'm the kind of person that would rather g oto small local shops, but I did get an MP3 CD/CD-R/CD-RW stereo player for my car from Halford and I am very pleased with them. I got the stereo for a good price, it included fitting which they did 4 days later after ordering the power adaptor. The guy even linked the speakers at the back which he isn't supposed to do.

So if I had anyone to recommend, it'd be Halfords on Queens Road in Lowfield.
