Jack_swfc13 08-11-2005, 19:20 Never guess who i met on sunday night?
It was westlife i was in the red lion pub and they came after there concert at the wednesday ground im not a westlife fan myself but still there probly the most famous people i met in person!
Englishlady 08-11-2005, 19:36 Are you the landlord at the red lion pub by any chance.
Sounds like you're drumming up business for some reason.
DragonofAna 08-11-2005, 19:41 Not a very good landlord if the intent is to drum up business for the pub as there are several Red Lion pubs around.
Think it was possibly just a point of interest.
Does anyone still like westlife anyhow?
Dragon
lexatron 08-11-2005, 19:45 small girls and middle aged women i think.

DragonofAna 08-11-2005, 20:04 Possibly Jacvk just likes the Red Lion pub. At least now I know not to use the one in Grenoside.
Actually - I do not drink alcohol so I would not go there anyhow.
The only person I have met who is famous is someone who appeared with Roland Rat. Sorry chuck.

And i met katie tunstall the other week, lovely lady. Got her aughtograph. Met supergrass the other week also :P
I remember a good few years ago being in boots in town one lunch time, just dashed in for some formula milk, and i was overlooked at the checkout cos ronan and his missus were in there buying some formula but they didnt know which one to buy. The checkout woman came over all flustered and hollered for someone to assist ''this young man and his wife choose a formula milk''.
mean time, im drumming my fingers at the till....''i dont care if hes famous, i have to get back to work in 15 minutes!!'' says I.
as an old rebels/rocknight/sportsman/wap goer, im ashamed to say i often find myself humming along to westlife.......... someone pass me a large drink!!

It is! He's a legend. I was up in Newcastle for an interview for a job I didn't get (The fools! Don't know what they've missed out on!), but the silver lining of the day (and the hair) was meeting The Almighty Des.
Praise be. :D
FallenAngel6 08-11-2005, 22:23 I saw westlife twice in concert.
I ended up being about two foot away from Brian mcfadden and he said hello to me...I nearly died.
Mum panicked and thought i was going to pass out LOL.
Good old days...

pennypie 09-11-2005, 16:31 Speaking of The Red Lion, Grenoside - Jack Osborne from Hollyoates (the scottish guy not the fat lad related to Ozzy) goes in there all the time. He lives up there somewhere apparently.
bornandbred 09-11-2005, 17:16 Hey Jack-swfc13, if you are the landlord of the Red Lion was it you who won pop master on Radio 2 this morning?
I met Gary Lineker the other week, he was in a strip joint.... With his mother.:heyhey: :heyhey: :heyhey:
spangler 09-11-2005, 17:40 I call your Gary Lineker and raise you Lemmy from Motorhead - in my front room - drinking tea and watching Basil Brush! (It was a while back!!)

see your still denying the fact that jamie cullum is great :P jamie may be small but he has big hair so i bet if he stood next to westlife he might look bigger...?!:D
Trishtee 09-11-2005, 20:14 Commentator at Wednesday match just said Westlife played at Hillsborough on Sunday.
FallenAngel6 09-11-2005, 20:44 You have got to be joking me, there would be swarms of people going for them.
I have liked westlife ever since they started and have cd.s, posters, books, videos etc etc. Some people might think its sad but i really like there music.
And just cause Bryan went and started new dont mean i hate him, hes a fab singer.
I'm more into different music now but i still like westlife.
My mum met darius, saw him in concert, she nuts about him. I like his music.
lol
