Black male cat missing from High Storrs area.
Very recently had an operation to remove a front leg and so his owners urgently need to find him.
Any info please let me know.
Thanks
I'm not in high storrs at all but just wanted to say, i lost one of my black cats the other day but she turned up eventually. So i know how horrible it is! Hope the cat comes back soon! How long has the cat been missing?
He belongs to a lady I work with and she is very worried so I thought I'd try and help.
He's been missing since last night.
Tell her not to give up hope. Our cat once went missing for 2 whole weeks before returning home!! Good luck to her and can you let us know if it's found?
Thanks a lot. :-)
P.S Very nice of ya to post this for her.
Please tell your friend to get on to the Sheffield Cats Shelter on 2724441, between 1 and 4 any day, as we currently operate the only lost and found register for the city.
If he's found by a caring person who calls the Shelter we could put them straight in touch with your friend if he's so identifiable, and if he's brought to the door we'll call.
Other things that they need to do include door knocking, putting up photos (and offering a reward, which if he's insured the insurance company will cover), calling vets, putting cards up in shops and vets and calling cleansing services, just to make sure that he hasn't been picked up dead (not a nice thought, but having them disappear is worse than knowing that they're dead). The Shelter staff will also have numbers for other Shelters and charities who need to know that he's missing.
I wish you luck in finding him, and again, thank you for caring enough to post this and please let us know when he's found.
Thanks for your advice - I'll pass it on.
She has been round the local area and asked the neighbours - she is going to sort out the posters/flyers tonight.
.... wet, bedraggled, starving Sooty arrived home from where ever last night about 10 pm and ate like a trooper and has been dozing under the bed all night !!! So thanks for your help with finding him ! He's now (hopefully) secured in the house until his stitches have healed !!

Yay! Lovely news! All's right with the world when that happens, isn't it?
Give him a fuss off me.

happy he's back, give him a cuddle from me
Sometimes, cats crawl into peoples garages or sheds for protection from the rain or something, then they got locked in by accident. I'm sure that's what happened to ours and that maybe the case here. If only we could stick a camera on 'em and really find out what they get up to! LOL!
Thanks for letting us know and give him a stroke for me..;-)
We currently have a cat in the Shelter whohad been shut (accidentally) in a shed for over 2 weeks, and survived- but only just. Another day or two and he'd have definitely died. He'll be with us for months recovering, assuming that the starvation hasn't caused organ failure of course.
Message to everybody (animal owner or not)- PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE check your sheds and garages when you have used them and left the door open for any period before you shut the door and leave them at the end of the day/job. All sorts of animals like dark spaces. Quite apart from the fact that there could be a trapped animal suffering in there, they are likely to trash your things in an attempt to get out. It
