Can any tell me why the Sicey Hotel has shut down. I was going to my mothers the day and noticed there was steel shutters up to the windows. I know it was getting rough but why shut it down?

Can't wait to see the replies to this one!

(Have to say that I used to enjoy the odd visit, usually teamed up with a few beers at The Pheasant down the road....)

probably use the same reason when they shut the five archers down, miserable dirty den. :gag: :gag:

think it was because there was so much trouble recently. I`ve heard they`re knocking it down to build more flats on like they did with the horse shoe:mad:

the sicey closed down because the landlord wasnt prepared to pay the inflated rent what the brewery wanted to charge .he is now down at the penguin hotel

When did the Five Arches shut? I drive past there twice a day and never noticed !

;) the five archers has not closed, YET. i did say that they will probably use the same reason WHEN they shut the archers down, which will not be long from what i experienced over last weekend :gag:
