With apologies to Mr Meldrew - "I don't believe it".
I'd not got wind of this before had anyone else?
I wonder if the opinions of those "served" by the council are taken into consideration...

Always has been as well - but sticking it up in the air is just that little bit more encouraging for them - being that you aren't exactly gonna jump out and chase them.
  This has got to be a joke, right?

Who the flip did they bribe for that honour then
So easy to knock the council (and no....I've never worked for them)........
But compared to where my folks live (cardiff) and our lasses parents (merseyside), Sheffield compare pretty well IMHO.
And for all of you who complain about Sheffield traffic......well, an hour to travel 7 miles in Leeds at 4 pm today wasn't a great laugh.
Don't know why half (or more) of Sheffield has this weird idea that other big cities have councils that run brilliant services at less cost.....it doesn't happen.

The award is probably given out by a bunch of faddy art students as well, so they relate to the council.
