I am interested i the paranormal and i think i may have expierianced some myself. My partners dad lives in shiregreen an we believe that some strange things have been going on. i was looking on the ghoststudy.com website and some of the pictures on there are incredable most of them are pictures with strange faces in the tv when it isnt switched on. At first i thought it may be just reflections but the researcher said that 90% of the time if u take a picture in a haunted house with the tv in the frame shot that u can see some (faces) or apperisions. So me and my partner put this to the test in her dads living room. A believe it or not u can actully make out a face glaring out. Also we took some in the kitchen which ive bee told that it is an orb in the picture but im not sure myself. i have these pictures saved on my computer but am not sure if i can up load these on here. If anybody knows let me no. Has anybody else had any simler experiances they would like to share?

I had an experience when I lived in shiregreen,I used to live on Butterthwaite crescent.
The experience was also shared by many visitors to the house,it was in the form of an old lady.
Some times you would hear the sound of pots in the sink,as if they were being washed,my son was the first to experience this.
He said he spoke to someone called jean,I was somewhat confused at first,only to find later the old lady that live there prior to me was infact called jean.

I just thought I'd put a reply on here as I see you've been experiencing 'orbs'.

First, I would like to point out that I DO believe in ghosts. However I also believe that around 99% of what people believe to be unexplained phenomenon are actually simple physical illusions.

With all this in mind I've been doing a little studying, ranging from the tricks and talents of the old-time side-shows which accompanied the travelling fayres, to the latest state-of-the-are movie special efects.

So what are orbs? Well, it's a little technical to explain, but tasically they are tiny particles of dust which reflect the light of a flash photo back into the lens. You don't see them in reality because the flash is so fast. This is why orbs only ever appear in flash-lit pictures. If anyone has an orb pic taken without flash, then that could be another story and I would love to see it.

It's not my intention to rubbish what people believe they have seen. Only to look scientifically at what is presented so that we can concentrate on what is truely the unexplained.

Its meant to be a live cam, it should be a grey lady of some kind.
wasnt too sure if it was a crock or not.
Seen that much bull on the net these days its unreal.

i cant see nothing tango , is it the thing sitting under the desk lamp reading ? lol

My house is approx about 150 years old, of which I have taken many pics with a digital camera and most contained orbs of some discription. I had the digital cam a number of years before and had never captured any orb like things before, the first being in my house after I purchased it. As I was carrying out major repairs I firstly assumed the dust particle theory, but still usure, but wouldnt mind someone checking over some of the pics for me.

Oh and sorry its not in Shiregreen.

You mensioned that orbs maybe particles of dust that get reflected when taking a picture with a flash,well another expierence ive had in the same house is when in bed one night i was awoken by a load bang any way i was half asleep when i saw a really small ball of light come through the wall. it floated in towards my face then glided back towards the wall and disapiered. At first i thought i was seeing things but i no what i saw, i think this could have possibly be an orb

Also my partners brother was killed in 96 and around his birthday strange things happen like the stairs light would sometimes flicker or go off. I remember one expierence that we will never for get. We was staying a my partners house and we was layed awake talking with lights out but the door was open a tad and the stairs light was on, after an hour talking iwas looking in to the shadows as you do when i spotted a white teddy on the unit. Now when you look at something for a while you see it move but i definently saw it moving its head was turning side to side as if something was moving it,so i thought it was my imagination an turn to face the wall to get some sleep,then my girlfriend grab me tightly shaking and saying can you see that teddys head moving,well at this time icould feel my face getting hot and my heart pounding faster. I said no so not to scare her and i put the light on and moved it away. So it must have been moving when i saw it or how could she no it was like something out of poltigiest.
