anyone know if there any fishing ponds or lakes ready to fish or are they still frozen passed fortyfoot thats thawing out not a member there alas.

Aston Park fisheries, all lakes are fishable.

or you could discover i more exciting "sport" that doesnt involve freezing :)

unfortunately spooferman i like m bikes but its too cold for that not avin much luck av to take up knittin lol

been today at aston ponds there was a match on most lakes with holes cut out ok if yer on poles but like me i had me feeder rod so went top pond pinchmill spot on all free from ice caught a few roach and loads of ide and a few carp came out to

herries pond (forty foot) is still frozen. it's partially thawed but surface water on top of ice gives the impression it's fully thawed.

Carterhall Fishery is now nearly ice free, plenty of silver fish to go at in the top pond.

most ponds will be ice free by the end of the week hopfully, forcasted 11oc thursday and friday
