I have a lucky cat...it is chrome, it waves its paw...constantly with the help of an AA battery and i baught it on Portobello Road...its very kitch...and i love it!...( Not sure how lucky it is...broke several glasses since its been in the kitchen!)

I think they're Chinese but apparently seen all over S. E. Asia. I think they're supposed to be beckoning to a money god or something. There's some importance in in which arm they wave as well. I think one is for money and the other is for luck. I've got some that wave with both arms so I'm definitely going to win the lottery one day!

many thanks to you all for your help in this. I work with someone who loves her lucky cat and apparently once you see one you will see hundreds!!!!! not i alas . Any ideas where to buy a lucky cat.
