Mandem 04-11-2005, 20:23 Hi, I have it on expert authority (my son) he is a big fan of Wu Tang, The Wu Tang get their name from the Wu Tang Shaolin Monks which were in the film, "Enter the 36 Chambers" and that is what all the samples are from. seanyboy 04-11-2005, 20:24 Rza used a lot of samples from loads of flicks, heres a few I know of: Methodman, Shaolin vs Wu-Tang, 36 Chambers, Drunken Master.... I'll probably come back with some more, you got me thinkin now! seanyboy 04-11-2005, 20:37 There is one movie that gets sampled a lot, Its driving me mad 'cos I can't remember the name. but basically its about a guy who pushes his kid in a pram and encounters all kinds of ninjas, its pretty violent. but i need to know the name now! *also this should probably be in entertainment section* Splodge_CRB 05-11-2005, 01:16 Originally posted by seanyboy There is one movie that gets sampled a lot, Its driving me mad 'cos I can't remember the name. but basically its about a guy who pushes his kid in a pram and encounters all kinds of ninjas, its pretty violent. but i need to know the name now! *also this should probably be in entertainment section* Shogun Assassin It also went by another title.....something or other in a handcart? I think they went under the names of various "baby cart" titles. eg "Baby Cart in the Land of Demons" etc. and "Baby Cart Assassin" seanyboy 05-11-2005, 09:30 Originally posted by Splodge_CRB Shogun Assassin Shogun Assassin! Thats it, I woke up this morning and thats the first thing that came into my head. Thats the main one, I think they did make a few more in the series but I've never seen them. Joffrey 05-11-2005, 10:23 Tonight there is a movie on BBC1 which was the reason I was posting this question in the first place (and I like all WuTang + projects Sunz of man, gravediggaz, killarmy etc ofcourse :D ) : BBC1 12.10am Twin Warriors Action adventure about two Shaolin monks - one placid and humble, the other fiery and competitive - who are expelled from their temple after a false accusation of cheating. They embark on two radically different paths before being reunited when one betrays the other and nearly kills him in combat. While recuperating, the more balanced monk discovers the power of the slow, graceful martial art of T'ai Chi Starring: Jet Li, Michelle Yeoh, Chin Sui Ho, Fennie Yuen, Cheung-Yang Yuen, Shun Lau Duration: 95mins Anyway thanks for your replies, see if I can download some clips. Peace! spyro2000 05-11-2005, 10:31 Originally posted by Joffrey Tonight there is a movie on BBC1 which was the reason I was posting this question in the first place (and I like all WuTang + projects Sunz of man, gravediggaz, killarmy etc ofcourse :D ) : BBC1 12.10am Twin Warriors Action adventure about two Shaolin monks - one placid and humble, the other fiery and competitive - who are expelled from their temple after a false accusation of cheating.
