HI,
Just letting you all know that our twin girls arrived, via emergency c-section on Friday 28th October 2005 at 10.13 and 10.15 pm weighing in at 5lb 8 oz for twin 1 and 5lb 9.5 oz for twin 2.
Babies are very healthy. I'm pretty sore.
We all came home from hospital yesterday after being given the paediatric all clear so now we're adjusting to being a family.
We had arranged to have the section brought forward and on the day we managed to convince a consultant to speed things up, the babies chose their own birthdays by spontaneously breaking their waters and disregarding the apppointment for them to arrive in four days time. Well done babies I say!

I'm sending you the biggest hug that you can cope with in your sore state. CONGRATULATIONS!

Kiss your little ones from me and mr medusa, and PM me if the sleep deprivation gets too much and you need a babysitter (no, really, I can change nappies and everything!).

Will you be able to post photos at some point?

How is the feeding going? I am full of admiration for you and have wee tears in my eyes as I type. Look forward to learning their names.

Ahem, don't want to put a downer on anything but my son didn't sleep through the night until he was 2 and a half, his godmother was 5 before she slept through, but a chum of Felix's slept through at two weeks, and a breastfed chum an' all. Babies are all different, just like adults are, and if you give ti some thought, how many of you sleep through all night every night without waking for a drink, the loo, to cough, whatever... Do we ask too much of our little angels?

Thanks for all your kind messages. Phew, it's a challenge getting anything done now which doesn;t involve milk, sleep or bottoms.
Sanity, a much desired commodity eh?
The babes are gorgeous, already over their birth weight after their initial drop and feeding well.
My partner is a champion nappy changer which is a huge help since I'm recovering from the c-section.
Tonight is a lovely evening, both girls are sleeping and should only wake for a feed before midnight (all hell breaks loose after that) so we are chilling in front of the tv. Bliss.
Most impressed with Hels news.
Anyone fancy setting up a Forum Mums group?
