View Full Version : The iceman strikes again
funkymonkey 04-11-2005, 09:16 has anyone seen the article in todays metro regarding the frozen man found in austria. They were saying that a curse buried with the man was released when he was found and now there are mysterious deaths of the people who found him and led the expeditions .
Could curses be actually upon us?:suspect:
Is it about otzi? (umlaut over the O but dont know how to do that on here).
Complete load of rubbish. He was such a big find many hundreds of people have worked with him, and as many are experts with much experience in their field many were old. So it was statistically probable that several of them would pass away over the last few years.
I've met several of the people who have worked on him and all are still alive and well.
funkymonkey 04-11-2005, 12:24 but is the any relating facts to the curses on the mummy.
roughy101 04-11-2005, 12:25 i hope not,a young lad on halloween asked me trick or treat and i said trick,he replied with THE CURSE OF THE KNIFE IS ON YOU,:gag: :gag: :gag:
funkymonkey 04-11-2005, 12:29 thats a bit strange, that a young kid would say something of that effect. Maybe you had a knock at the door from a real monster on halloween. it is said that the real nasties can come out and parade among us mortals

lol maybe its nothing too serious must be careful in future.
remember for next time when the ghouls say trick or treat you say i choose treat and wait for them to give you something. if they don't just close the door, therfore you will not get cursed.

Otzi is a natural mummy i.e. he died or was killed and was then frozen by the elements. He is not a 'created' mummy like those in Egypt, and thus the superstition surrounding him is a modern creation, not relating back to curses that were created when he died.

The ice man (mummy) Oetzi died from being shot in the back by an arrow it said in the paper.
There must be a story surrounding the death of this guy and maybe his spirit hasn't passed on yet Hence the curses.

They still don't really know how he died, the arrow in his shoulder was a possibility. But still the curses are entirely modern fiction that some sensationalist papers have come up with. After all, not all of us who have worked with the bodies of murder victims, however old, have died or suffered horrible consequences.

Yet
But i suppose your right in a way, But if curses arn't true brought up by what can only be described as bored people maybe the human race is based upon ficticious tales.
