I have got a big stash of yarn with some nearly whole 100g balls, some wavey chunky wool and some normal chunky wool and some dk.

I crochet better than I knitt but can do either so what pattern ideas have you done that I can get using my yarn up by doing.

Need some inspiration and thought it might give inspiration to others too.

There is Ravelry and lots of patterns around that are free. I recently learnt how to do hdc and htc from the book 'Rowan Crochet workshop' which gave me guidance to attempt some mittens, maybe you could do a combo of a hat, mittens and scarf for a loved one, if not I made a really quick hot water bottle cover that I am sure can be adapted to be done in crochet :)

warm snuggle blankets! You can work 2 or 3 balls at the same time to make a lovely chunky blanket four your knees.

i dont know if you would be intreasted
but rainrescue dogs home are needing
dogs jumpers to help keep them warm
through this could harsh winter
im shure that they would appreasheate
any help from people knitting them jumpers
