Just wondering about this.... when did music companies stop making cassettes of new music releases?
My car has a cassette player, as I'm sure lots of cars have, and I want to be able to buy a new dance mix album for my car instead of having to sit in front of the cd player for 2 hours, taping stuff onto a blank cassette.
I did this when I was 15 and used to sit taping the charts on a Sunday night!
Looked on the well known internet auction site, but can't find anything decent......any ideas?

You can get a cd / tape converter thing. its a tape that you stick in your car stereo (like any other) with a cable that plugs into the headphone socket of a portable cd player or MP3 player or any other similar device. It basically lets you use your cassette player with any source. They are only about 5quid.
I think maplins sell them.

Chrysalis did Escapology on tape in 02, nothing since then. Guess its back to the good old days of home taping for you matey.

I've got one of these which I used with my MP3 player, but the sound was really tinny.....and I don't have a portable CD player anymore.......suppose I could buy a cheapo one off e-bay....

think it was about a 3 or 4 years ago since the production of music cassettes stopped.--so really there'd only be the old stuff available on market stalls etc.
