Calling All Paranormal Investigators, and anyone else who is intrigued...

Im an avid "fan" (i guess you could call it that) of the paranormal, and all things such like.. ESP, Telekenisis, etc... and Have been wanting to get something running for a long time, but never had the time, or means to do so...

but now I have..

Im going to start arranging monthly paranormal investigations (or ghost hunts) as some people call them..

I plan to start with a few out doors ones for anyone who wishes to attend and then we will split into smaller groups and maybe cover 2 locations in a night or maybe make an event of it (much like the most haunted live business, but not on tv, and not with all the audience and showbiz stuff) I have several locations in mind but just as a general thing Im posting this so I can see how many people would actually be interested in meeting up and discussing this, or coming along on a walk or an evening..

Well, talking about dodgy, camp mediums..

Im not dodgy, im not camp, and i wouldnt call my self a medium (more of a small tbh.. ROFL) Any ways..

I am into all that, and have a spirit guide, have made contact before etc... so thats me :)

But yeah. I would reccomend contacting "Jon" who posted on here as he has a group up (not going to say too much at this stage) - looks like i'll be going with them on thier next one, but after that I have some locations in mind that ill sort out for others to come along...

P.S. - ill get some forums up Speficially for this at some time in the next few days, i own a couple of dedicated servers so thats no problem.. we'll see how it goes..

I'm surprised you want to set up a new group, Ghozer. There are two groups that would suit you already in the Yorkshire area. We'll soon be overrun with them.

We are meeting tomorrow (Wednesday the 2nd) at the Bankers Draft (Top of fargate, near Argos Superstore, on the corner) at around 1:30pm

We will be discussing Saturday, the location, and possible future locations..

Got this information of a member of this forum The whole railway line area running between where we are going and the first bridge heading back to wards Neepsend is a very 'intense' area. I have done 'ghost walks' on the length of the line from Wicker arches to Wadsley bridge and its VERY atmospheric indeed.

I think just about everyone and anyone interested in paranormal activity in Sheffield ought to just spend a few months camping out on the Stocksbridge bypass.

I do mean - on the bypass rather than by the side of it. I mean - all drivers really need is to see the ghostly apparition of campers walking about in the middle of the night and there will be all sorts of accidents.

Take away the risk that they may miss you.

As you have probably guessed - not a great fan of ghosties.

Just a bit tired of all these paranormal investigator wannabes and all the rubbish about halloween and all the other rubbish as well.

But no - it may be a bit harsh, foxy. I am waiting now for the ghostly sightings on the bypass as they always seem to crop up about this time of year.

The post was made in a light-hearted manner as I do not really expect anyone to actually camp out on the bypass itself.

Never seen a ghost. Surprising perhaps, considering what I am. Seems they are avoiding me. When I go over to the other side I will make certain to come back and let you all know what it is like - with a friendly, unoffensive, boo.

We are meeting at 6pm at the Casino at Hillsbrough ( langsett or bamforth street tram stop ) we will be starting at the GraveYard not far from there, and then moving down the railway lines towards town where we should come accross an old, flattened, abandoned station which will be our final stop..

Ghosts are real... in the sence some people believe in them, claim to have seen them, theres photographic evidence (you cant tell me straight that out of the 10000's of photos, that al of them are not real)

Ghosts are NOT real... in the sence that there is no solid proof of thier existance, but then, at the same time, there is no solid proof that they dont exist, and there never will be any solid proof they wont exist.

why? because to prove something doesnt exist, you first have to try and prove it does, If you cant prove it does, and all sightings stop, and no one ever "sees" one again, then fair enough, they are not real, they dont exist.. but with human nature, they wont stop looking, they wont stop seeing, or believing..

I, myself, am a sceptic, I want solid proof aswell, but i dont say "they dont exist" because im not that closed minded, to think that we are the only forms of being on or around this planet (us and the animals we know of)

Its like UFO's and Aliens, Im not that closed minded to say "they dont exist" because of the vastness of space, we cant be the only ones here...

There is so much about ourselves we still dont understand fully, or comprehend.. so why cant there be some other form of existance, another plain or level after death, that we just cant see, or understand..

Don't know if you know, but there's a group of people called "Sheffield Paranormal Investigations" who meet a the Burgoyne Arms in Hillsborough once a month, who do loads of "ghost hunts" up and down the country. I think they meet on the same Wednesday every month, they're always wanting new members.

Angelus, I would have loved to have accepted you into my group. Unfortunately I found that I had attracted too many members. I have now drawn in the catchment area of the group - if you live within an area of sixteen and a half foot radius of my kitchen sink, you're in.

Suggest you join me at SPI instead - they cover a slightly wider area. :hihi:
