:( i got a pc 3 days ago and it worked fine until i wanted to play the sims.It installs it fine but wont actually start the game.So today we took it back to give it a thorough seeing to.They checked it out played games on it verything it was fine.He said to change either my moniter resolutions or the moniter.So off i went home happy as larry installed a game fine it worked!So i thought id try the sims my favourite game installed it and it did the same!! would not play!!!!OMFG!!! It worked in the shop what the hel??I changed my moniter resolutions and my moniter for another one and it still wont work!!
Im going out of my mind here,why was it fine in the shop what is wrong with it?????help before i go crazy!!:help: :mad: :(

what resolution have you got the monitor set to, it should be fine on 800x600, or if you have a decent monitor and graphics card 1024x768 or higher if its really flash.

also, does it start laoding the game and then just kick you back to desktop

also, have you checked the minimum specs on the back of the game case, and made sure your pc covers the minimum spec

Make sure you have Direct X 9 from the cd installed.

Make sure your monitor and graphics cards are installed correctly too. (This solved it for me)

Make sure your version of windows is upto date.

Make sure you have Service Pack 2 installed.
