What you have no TV in your house? or DVD or VHS?

they are old tv's or videos, from a time where remote controls were a pip dream.

My family is full of technophobes, i seem to be the only one who accepts new technology, then again i'm still young.

perhaps i'll not like any new fangled gadgets as i grow up.

I have 5 of my own, around another 10 throughout the house.

7, but due to get another 3 at least in the near future! Blimey, never thought of it. So that'll be 10. 5 of which are in the lounge! I've been thinking about buying one of those special touch screen controls for the lounge. You set it up to control everything then depending what you want to control, the touch screen display changes. How cool is that! Then I can put the other controls away.

They aren't expensive, well about 50 quid. They are just damn cool and the size of a normal remote control.

I've just remembered I've got another control, so that'll bring the total to 11, in fact 12 if I buy the touch screen all in one! Although several will no longer be in use.

I've got a Philips pronto top gadget got about 7 remotes programmed in to it at the moment and am looking at getting a remote dimmer for the lights (sad I know but im a sucker for gadgets) and I don’t lose all my remotes down the sofa any more :-) chk out richer sounds they tend to have some good deals

How many do I have or how many do I use?

I have 2, one for my CD player and one for my video. I rarely use my CD player nowadays because of MP3. I watch the TV on my PC and since I'm normally sat at the desk, changing channel is just a matter of pressing a key on the keyboard. If I'm watching a video I have to use the remote, but if I want to record a programme I do it directly to my hard-drive in mpeg format.

I don't know how I'd cope without my computer :D

although we could use just use one for the whole house we can't be bothered running after the kids to find it . hence we have to have so many.

We have 89 channels of rubbish on the television, and as a consequence our remote control is so big the settee fell down the back of it the other day.
