My father-in-law has just had a heart valve replaced at the NGH and is now deemed fit enough to come home. Apparently doctors have been round telling him and others that they must try to get home if at all possible, as they need the beds.

However, we can't get our car off our estate due to 2+ feet of snow - nothing has moved for two days as its a cul-de-sac and no snowplough has been near.

We're obviously willing to pay if anyone can help. The journey would involve picking me up from Swallownest, going to NGH and then coming back again. If necessary, I can meet you on a main road

If you can help, please call on 07855 790996

I know they need the beds but it is surely safer for him to be where he is. Its not your driving you need to watch in this weather its other peoples. He is prob home sick as much as you are missing him. If i was in the same situation i would stay put untill its safe. What would happen if you got stuck on your way home with your Father in the car its not the best situation for him to be in. As agonising as it is I would stick it out a little longer. Good luck.
