View Full Version : Summer Hoildays - Where are you going? Sammy 03-02-2004, 10:18 hey just wonderin where u are all goin for your hols? i am goin to cyprus in July for two weeks! GazB 03-02-2004, 10:21 Magaluf for 2 weeks on the 30th June. I have a site dedicated to it.. Not going to post the URL though as a few people on here might lose all respect for me ;) Sammy 03-02-2004, 10:22 ok! u goin wiv friends or family? GazB 03-02-2004, 10:26 7 friends.. We can't talk one-to-one on a thread though as it's against forum rules. PM me if you like. Moon Maiden 03-02-2004, 10:32 You have summer holidays planned already??? Geese I am slacking. I have christmas sorted does that count? Moon Moved thread as it wasn't Sheffield related GazB 03-02-2004, 10:49 We only have it sorted 'coz we'l be going on 18 - 30 type holidays and unless you book quickly, the price goes up and the availability comes really down! Moon Maiden 03-02-2004, 10:51 cannot see my 2 year old appreciating an 18-30. The sister in law has moved to Spain - Almeria I think. The hubby has promised we will go there at some point not sure if he meant this year though! Paying out for all our passports will be fun! I reckon we will end up in Scarborough for a week! I am sorry to be all sad with you all going off abroad, but I do love the place, as do the kids. Actually I will be in Scarborough this weekend! Moon steelblade 03-02-2004, 11:15 I'm going to Newquay with some friends in July. DaBouncer 03-02-2004, 11:18 Maldives for 2 weeks in July:thumbsup: max 03-02-2004, 21:35 Villa in Tuscany for 2 weeks in July plus 2 day drive either side to get there and back. Stopping at Monte Carlo on the way for a dabble in the casino. Andy78 03-02-2004, 21:39 OOO, i have no idea, went round europe last year so not much could top that. anywhere without too many p*ss heads would be good as long as there's sun and sea and stuff. yeah lots of stuff would be good duffman 03-02-2004, 21:55 I'm off to florida for two weeks in may, heard they have a problem with 7ft mice there:D hiyabeing 03-02-2004, 22:48 Does mine count as a summer holiday? I'll be in tenerife on 13th March (only a week though) and can't wait. Lucky to get time off work before July (gasps of shock all round please). GazB - me and my sister got last minute cheap to Ibiza last August and got put on 20's hol (I was 31 - haha), but I suppose if there's 7 of u to put in one apartment / hotel then u do have to book early. Enjoy. Anyone able to comment on night life? Playa De Las America???? Anyone? Please.... GazB 04-02-2004, 08:08 Yeah I went to Ibiza last July, excellent time! Unfortunately I paid quite alot to get in the same hotel as my friends who'd booked earlier on when I was in a relationship. If I would have gone, it would have gone down about as well as a turd in a trifle with the bird. No way was she going to last with me  Foxxx 04-02-2004, 08:16 2 weeks in Gozo in July or August as my mum and step-dad live there. Taking friends with me. That's my main holiday. A few days in Menorca in May as my 2 of my mates have just booked a huge villa and said me and my boyfriend can stay there for free if we pay for a flight. Does anyone know of cheap flights that go there? Apparently you can get flights for 40 quid return but I'm not sure what companies fly there. Probably go to France for a long weekend or a week late August to see my dad and take friends there. Also hoping to go for long weekend to Milan in June! Blimey not bad. TonyG 04-02-2004, 08:24 I'm off the same time as hyabeing, 2 weeks in Dominican Republic can't wait. Went to Tenerife January last year for 4 days. Nightlife is excellent, we ended up in Linekers Bar most nights. Only trouble is the touts, they pester the life out of you when you are walking past bars at night. GazB 04-02-2004, 08:47 I've heard they're illegal now.. I've always wondered where they sleep at night.. do they just cram up in one tiny hut like a tin of beans? Lots of touts outside bars trying to tempt you inside with drinks offers. They practically hound you till you give in. Seriously, not my idea of a good night out! But whateva floats ya boat eh! fnkysknky 04-02-2004, 11:56 Hoepfully off to the South of Spain, get a few rounds of golf in etc. Then thinking about Barbados again, Heaven on Earth :D I'm sure another visit to Amsterdam will be on the cards at some point this year too. willman 21-12-2005, 13:59 just resurrected this for the benefit of dog owners. i have found a 5 star rated holiday site in Cornwall that will allow as many dogs as you like. ( i'm taking 5 next year). pm me if you want details or i can post a link if interested. taxman 21-12-2005, 14:06 Not a Summer holiday but I'm going dogsledding in Finland in January. Not booked for Summer yet but probably Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda - safari followed by Gorilla trek GazB 21-12-2005, 14:41 Magaluf twice last year, Ayia Napa and Benidorm this year.. Booking 10 days in Napa and probably 10 days in Malia or somewhere in 2006! sophiec1979 21-12-2005, 14:44 if i get a holiday, it will be a long weekend in spain for my best friends hen do. byt, if she doesnt get her finger out and pick a weekend soon, we'll be going to skeggy. sophie x Internetowl 21-12-2005, 17:02 Two weeks in Catalonia and a week on the bracing east coast :) HappyHoosier 21-12-2005, 17:46 Man! You guys in England get around! Your vacations sound incredible. I own a tiny 1940s-era vacation cottage at a trio of small lakes in Northern Indiana, about 25 minutes away from my year-round house in the city. I usually spend my summer holidays there. I'm into fishing, swimming, canoeing, sunning, hunting for turtles -- and, of course, remodeling the place! |
