Does anyone recall the old abandoned allotments in Concord Park? Does anyone recall them in use? They were situated just below Hinde House School.

As a child living on Standon Crescent, we used to use them for cover, when the golfers in Concord Park used to chase us off the course. We used the course as a football pitch and had to move aside, when golfers were driving off the tee. Sometimes we would wait for their ball to land, nick it and then run off either into the Standon estate or the allotments to hide.
