Tasted foul iirc.... :gag: On the other hand, TJ Hughes in Town do great Cappucinos, albeit a bit on the expensive side at £2.35 for a small cup. pattricia 28-10-2005, 20:09 Originally posted by fnkysknky Starbucks on the 3 occasions I've been there - I'll not let it happen a 4th time :) Same here mate ! Id been to Starbucks in New York and the coffee was great,so tried it at Starbucks in Meadowhall. They gave it us in a thick big mug,and it tasted so bitter, and looked like sludge. Don_Kiddick 28-10-2005, 20:13 My mates mum when we was teenagers. They used to buy that orange label 'our-price' chicory based poison from the Spar. They also had manky smoked glass cups that showed every finger print & lip mark to have ever not been washed off them. the resultant drink was so weak - even with full fat milk in - it was nearly transparent. :gag: The memories! :gag: Deavon 29-10-2005, 00:15 I once got a horrible cuppa from the clipboard girls on Fargate. I went to their church hall to answer some market research questions and was presented witha cup of what I can only assume was 'Mellow Birds". Ugh meumeu77 29-10-2005, 14:05 myself, oops... But it's only happened once or twice. I'm better now. :P bellis 29-10-2005, 14:12 Originally posted by Deavon I once got a horrible cuppa from the clipboard girls on Fargate. Ugh did you pour the mellow birds in a plant pot like they did in the advert or are you too young to remember such delights:) Mathom 29-10-2005, 15:23 Originally posted by Don_Kiddick My mates mum when we was teenagers. That's like the 'coffee' my parents used to make, except the cups were so clean you could still taste the Fairy Liquid. That and 'Kwik Save' chicory coffee equals :gag: My nan used to make it with boiled milk, which was lovely. A guy I used to share a house with once made me a cup of tea/coffee to teach me a lesson because I always used to go "oh, anything will do" when i was asked what sort of brew I wanted. That was vile too. :gag: Andy 29-10-2005, 17:10 One of my colleagues made me a cup of coffee, which tasted strange. When I stirred it, I realised it had a tea bag in it :suspect: :gag: |
