After comming out of a funeral this morning and making my way to my car, a horse came round the corner of is your horse or you know what has happened to it please post on here. Thanks
the road and was wandering near the churchyard. My brother tied the poor thing to a fence and I phoned the police to let them know 1. that a horse was on the loose and 2. Where it was tied.
I could not stop as I was part of the funeral party. After 20 mins of "we are aware of your call and will get back to you as soon a possible" I had to put the phone down{ my credit had run out}
I am now wondering if the horse got back to its owners safely or if the poor thing is still tied to the fence. If it
I would perhaps telephone the RSPCA?
As I said I was at a funeral. I have tried the RSPCA before and had about as much joy as I did with the police.

Perhaps it was a ghost horse that the funeralee had once rode as a lad. Trotting to pay his last respects and jump his last fence to heaven:)

Why is this a joke and if it was what is so bad about ghosts and their livestock (deadstock):suspect: ?????
I must admit to a sick sense of humour and so would the person whos funeral it was . So please don't take offence as I certainly haven't..
As for where it was .. Saint Mary's church. Thanks .
I don't suppose the horses name was Trigger by any chance :confused:

i was also at a funeral at beighton church yesterday didnt see a horse though hope its ok though,
i live in the village and there are horses kept right behind the church it might be one of thoses.
Slightly off topic, but I was once stood at the end of Tye Rd and a couple of old fellows had taken their caps on as a funeral passed, and one asked the other " who's dead?" and the immortal reply will be etched with me forever.......as quick as a flash "him in the box" :P
bogie.... We were the last to leave the church yard so it is possible that you had already gone by the time the horse turned up........
There were a few John Wayne remarks to my brother who teathered the horse..
There are regular problems with loose horses, in that area. They wander down from the Long Acre gypsy site. They are left on the field opposite, and are always wandering around in the night.
i hope the horsey is okay cos im a big lover of horses, i dont live far from beighton n went down to see and i couldnt see a horse so hopefully its ok, fingers crossed everyone xxx
