After just posting in the X factor massive thread i wondered why i watch that program as it gets me so mad i want to rip off limbs to throw at the tv.

Does this happen to anyone else? And what programs make the red mist descend?

I cant stand all of the "supernanny" and rleated programs dealing with snotty kids...enough with the naughty corner, just give them a smack and they wont do it again! (obviously not in the child abuse scale of smacking), it never harmed me and boy, did I learn what not to do quickly....which reminds me how much I also hate tranny and susannah with their "what not to wear" cos the pair of them always look awful! oh, and any DIY programs and car boot sales/antiqes nonsense....in fact I think I might go home now and get rid of the TV all together!

hahaa i know what you mean with the supernanny and all those type of programs. Every single child seems to just bee looking for attention and therefore being destructive/ violent to get it. I could walk into a house and tell parents that for free!!

My mum watches every DIY program she can get hold of and it drives me mad!

Can't stand any of these reality shows.....people eating worms, standing around camp fires, pretending to be mad at each other

Just a bunch of wannabe actors hoping to get noticed, all good looking with perfect shapes ! sad lot !

The cricket.

Also, more generally, the 4 channels of sport on a Saturday afternoon.

As anyone may observe, from my 'Most Slappable Face in Entertainment' thread, I loathe and abhor a great many celebrities and so-called 'entertainers'.

Regarding programmes that actually enrage me, I would single out the following examples. The plethora of DIY, house-hunting, 'make-over' and 'reality' programmes tends to make me rather cross. The pathetic, sentimental coverage of Crufts by sickly celebrities like Gabi Roslyn, in which we see more of her than the actual show itself, causes moderate levels of anger too. The patronising experiment in 'multicultural' social engineering that is the childrens' programme, 'Ballamory' tends to occasion merriment and despair in equal measure. This perfectly ridiculous programme portrays life in a remote, Scottish island as if it were the 'murder mile' of inner-city Hackney.

My anger does not last for long. There is always the 'off' switch, and there are many other pleasures to be found in life such as gassing badgers, baiting Jehovah's Witnesses and rampant, perverted sex.

Couldn't agree more - a bunch of boy-racer tosspots let loose with a sackful of license-payers money.
In the old days I found it hard to imagine that there was anyone more irritatingly self-satisfied than Clarkson anywhere on the face of the planet ... but they found him - in the form of his short-arsed sidekick - and dragged him onto Top Gear.

What really REALLY winds me up, is that the idiotic presenting style is lauded by many as being a bit "daring" and "laddish", and "un-PC", when in fact it is just lazy... presented by people who think that their childish bar-room chit-chat makes for good TV.

I can only assume that anyone who admires that has never sat in the pub with their mates taking the mickey out of each other before.

AAARrrrrGGHHH

Oh yeah, whoever thinks "reality TV" is a rating winner needs a slap IMO.

The only good "Reality" programme that's been on in recent times IMO was that "Wakey Wakey Campers" that was on Channel 4 for a few weeks last month.

I watched it every week, because I'm a fan of those old style "Hi De Hi" holiday camps as I call them as I used to watch Hi De Hi itself years ago when I was a kid, and I also enjoy holiday park entertainment style holidays... Even despite the fact that I was too young to remember it the last time we ever went to Butlins.. Although we did go to Camber Sands when I was about 6.
