We went for our annual blowout to KFC today.

Bargain bucket, ate the lot, felt ill, pretty totty served me: result!

However you can no longer help yourself to serviettes, instead you get an individual serviette c/w a wet wipe & a sachet of salt in a cellophane bag.

How stoopid is this?

1: Salt = bad! You can still help yourself to handfulls of salt sachets anyway!
2: when you're all greased up you can't open the cellophane bag to get your one serviette out.
3: when, eventually you do remove it having eaten half of the cellophane bag, it disintigrates into confetti!

The colonel is king.

I think they may have looked at how much they spend a year on fresh wipes (used to get 37 at the bottom of the bag when I drived through a Variety Meal.. Still in the glovebox.. still handy for wiping the windscreen).

They are cutting 'baseline' costs.

(as salt makes you dehydrated and thirst makes you hungry, it would make sense to keep it in full supply).

Talking about salt.... a few years ago whilst pregnant I refused to have the fries they had pored two tons of salt onto. I made them cook me a fresh batch so I could have them unsalted.
I seem to remember at the time the young lass serving me tried to make me have the salted ones. quick discussion with the manager soon resolved the problem..
