People talk of the meaning of life. I think everyone has their own meaning to life, but what is it that makes your life worth living? What is it that makes all the bad things ok?

For me it is the love I share with my husband and the good things I can do as a teacher.

The love I have for Richard brings me great inner peace and immense joy and the feeling of helping little ones gives me a sense of purpose.

I live for coming on here and annoying people who seem to have no life outside this 'board'.

Seriously though, I try to bring happiness and joy wherever I am - well sort of :)

Exactly, my perfect girlfriend Sharon makes everything OK. All it takes is a smile.

I know what you mean, I try to limit myself but I guess it's my guilty pleasure.

That and driving my "child killing" 4x4 which I like to park on the pavement, smoking in public places, slagging off bus drivers and flying the cross of St. George.

That about covers it.

What makes my life worth living?

The fact I can afford food to eat and I have not only a roof over my head but my own room.

I can go to uni and study anything I want to. I have access to millions and millions of books.

I have civil and political rights - I can freely take part in the politics of my country without fear of repression. I can choose to sit in the pub with my friends or go to work without being told this is not the place of a woman.

I can afford food, medicine, clothing, shoes, education, shelter and all the luxuries - entertainment, holidays etc.

My family aren't at risk from disease or persecution. In fact, they're all relatively safe and well.

Maybe if I lived in Pakistan and my home and village had just been destroyed, and half my family had died, I'd be wondering, whats the point? As it is, I've got everything to live for :)

"Well then," said Pooh, "what I like best," and then he had to stop and think. Because although Eating Honey was a very good thing to do, there was a moment just before you began to eat it which was better than when you were, but he didn't know what it was called. Milne

The word he was looking for Kathy, was 'happiness' that's what makes life worth living. Pure and simple. ;)

Well, music and dancing.

But a few months ago love, even though it turned out he wasn't happy. I was happy from the moment we got together. Problem was I was overwhelmed by how things happened.

I'm so sorry, it was definitely only for Liam's benefit.

Get yourself away from the PC and into the wider world.

Not sure my life has a point at the moment, or atleast I'm not sure what it is. Maybe the meaning of life is simply to be remembered.

OllieKitten... For some reason I always thought you were a bloke!!!

But obviously not if you have a husband!

I think we need a thread on this forum where people can reveal their sex. I always used to think Sheesh was a fella too!!!!

I make my sex very obvious with the picture under my name. I'm a drag queen. Ha ha!

firstly my son who's smile lifts my day everytime he smiles at me

secondly my friends who all make me smile and cheer me up when i have had days where i dont see things gettin better ever

thirdly my quilifacations that ive worked hard nd have been through hell to get over the years!!!

fourth i suppose i should realy put my family down but im not cos they make my life worse not better theres only one that i like lol the fourth would have to be my big sister della who as taught me so many things over the years that no school or course can teach someone and who has always been there for me when my parents wernt and has also got me outta sone serious trouble on more than one occasion and never complained that im a pain or a waste of time botherin with.

Well i am an eternal optimist. Though this year could of been better (this week topped it off!!) i'm optimistic next year will be better. Its cant get worse!!

As i've mentioned too many times this week on too many threads i seriously screwed up with someone i liked but i believe there must be a reason. I just need to find it:suspect:

well i think my meaning of live would be love and being in love and yeah sometimes i make daft mistakes but my love for the person i love will never change and for my family and friends and being who i am i guess as i like to be there for others and try and make other peoples lifes better when possible and try and bring a bit of happiness and joy to others

When you hear the birds in a springtime morning, smell the air on a warm countryside morning, see the baby animals running around in spring/summertime and finally when you experience love. That's when you know life is worth it.

what makes life worth living: my other half, my parents and brothers, my friends + chocolate!
Also tiny details like having a lie-in on Sundays and having a nice cuppa when it's cold and wet outside.
Having a roof over my head and not worry about going hungry.
Life is what you make it and even though I haven't got everything I want (like a house of my own for instance), I'm still pretty happy with what I've got. You should always bear in mind that there are people who are not as lucky as us.
Have a nice day!

;)
