What do you know about PLI?

I am required to be covered by PLI for a new business venture and was wondering if any of you have had experience of any companies that you would recommend, or similarly advise me to avoid. Thanks in advance.

Cover required is £2 million.

PS Am running a competition for the dullest topic starter...

I used to be a Commercial Insurance Underwriter for Norwich Union. They do it.

But like everything these days, it all seems to be call centres now and you don't have a local branch for the general public to actually go into!

You maybe best with a Commercial Lines Insurance Broker, you will find them in Yellow Pages etc.

Sadly my days in insurance were back in my native Middlesbrough so I don't know any good brokers in Sheffield!

If you get stuck on any of the jargon or requirements just drop me a PM!

I got myself a quote from Direct Line as they also do my car insurance. I've been told that since I"m CORGI registered I can get my liability insurance from them but I'm not 100% sure if I'm best doing that.

Has anyone who's CORGI registered done this please? :)

Why not, shop around and get some prices, see who offers what.

let me know how you find axa

Personally I'd avoid AXA as they have been a royal PITA by not knowing their arse from their elbow when doing work for AXA customers.
