The site is a photographic gallery, I have loads and loads of photos but only a few are on the website as I haven't got much free time at the moment, but I'm going to work on it and make it look like a proper site… (hopefully sometime soon…)

For the time being it's only the 'City Gallery' that works, so from the main page you need to go to 'Galleries' and then 'Browse by 'City'

I have some ‘Sheffield’ photos as well…

Thanks, I just need some more free time to work on it, but free time is hard to find at the moment...

so many things to do, so little time... It's always like this :)

From a very quick skim only which Im afraid hasnt done your site justice, I'd say its extremely good and my only regret is I'm so cream-crackered I'm packing up and going to bed.

Looks OK to me, and easy to navigate. Will send it to my artist friend who also has a website and ask him what he thinks.

Nicely designed site, looks good.

From a technical point of view it would be nice to see you do away with laying everything out in tables though and make full use of CSS but Dreamweaver makes it easy to get in to bad habits :)

Thanks again for your feedback, I'll keep you updated for any new gallery additions etc. I need to upload the rest of the cities, and then start the 'theme' gallery...

You can subscribe to the news letter if you like, for every new gallery I upload I send out an email to subscribers to let them know

I know the design is a bit basic and could take a lot of improvement, but my web design skills are not that good yet (this is my first website) and I wanted to focus on the photography part rather than the web design part... When my skills become better I'll try to carry out a major site re-design, but this is not something for the near future... :)

looks good to me...but if you want me to be really picky...there is a bit of a chunk of space on the right hand side on every page...

i know that IS picky..but thought i might as well mention it.

im using 1024 x 768 by the way.

but looks good

You're not picky, you're absolutely right... Actually I have left this space intentionally empty, to put an advertisement column bar, like 'Google ad bar' , but I'm not sure yet, I don't want to destroy the site's colour theme, and when you display photographs you don't want other colours/animations to draw your attention...

What do you people think? Should I put something like an ad bar in this space on the right, or is it better to leave the layout as it is, and just centre justify the page?

I've just added a new gallery: Birmingham, UK. I got these pictures back in 2000, so I don't quite remember what the places/monuments are... If anyone knows, can you please send me a PM with info? Thanks :)

I'm off for my holidays, so I'll see you again in 2006 :)

Very nice site, I like the scrolling picture to choose your town, but it could be bigger surely...

One little thing though, the grey text on the front page with the drop shadow looks a bit hazy, if you're going to use drop shadows you're better off going more faded, or making the actual lettering in a brighter colour than mid grey...

Apart from that very nice, if I ever get a links section sorted on mine...

thanks for the comments, I'll try to improve some things (design wise) probably next month.

as for the scrolling picture thing, it used to be bigger but I got some negative feedback regarding its loading time, it seems there are a lot of people still on dial-up... maybe I'll try to do it bigger sometime in the future.

Have to say the drop shadows on some of the text makes it a bit... unclear! Drop shadows should always be used sparingly.

Either that or lighten the text slightly to give a little bit more contrast against the shadow.

Thanks for the comments, I've removed the drop-shadows from the links so that the text is a bit more clear.

...and by the way I added a new Gallery: Manchester... :)
