We are looking for a Self-employed Administrator
COGS is an independent organisation specialising in policy and practice development in the areas of:
Community development
Community engagement and participation
People based regeneration policies and programmes
We are based in Sharrow though work nationally.
We are looking for someone to provide administrative services for a period of 3 months and potentially a further 3 months.
We wish to contract with someone on a self-employed basis i.e. you would be responsible for your own tax and national insurance.
Rate of pay
£10 per hour for 12 hours per week (spread over 2 or 3 days).
Services required include:
Office management including:
- stock control of office consumables
- managing telephone enquiries
- dealing with service providers
- maintenance of IT and paper based filing systems
Administrative support to COGS consultants including:
- transcribing workshop, meeting and interview notes
- word processing and database inputting
- photocopying and production of workshop materials
- occasional administrative organisation of and preparation for workshops/events.
Skills and experience required:
Competence and experience in using Microsoft Word/Excel/Access
Office management skills
Communication skills including confident use of the telephone
Experience in administrating meetings and events
You will need to be self-motivating and able to self manage workload as agreed with Directors
