Hey just wondering have lived here for just over a year renting in west one. looking at buying a house in Richmond but as i'm not from here dunno what the areas like. Any advise?

My mum has lived next to (what was) Richmond college, for about 25 years now, it's a quiet area. The shops on Richmond Road are ok (the Richmond pub is dire). It's a "nice" area, not fantastic, but not bad either.

if your gonna buy on richmond make sure its upper richmond as nick 2 said near the old college, it's very nice there, lower richmond is'nt so nice lots of grey bleak looking council houses.

Go and have a pint in the local. If you have a pleasant evening, its likely you'll fit in round there - don't forget, those are the people who'll be your neighbours ;)

Hi I lived on Richmond Road for most of my teenage years.I would go back there now, great people a little commuinity on the shops good transport links.
