Random question but...

If you came accross a burning building, would you stay outside and just phone for help or go in if you thought you could save people?

For some reason I found myself asking myself this question earlier and I decided I would go in, what would you do?

If it was a fireworks factory I'd stay outside and phone the fire brigade. If it was a hospital I'd run inside and save everyone!

:D

It would depend on the circumstances - how bad the fire was, where it was, and who was inside.

I'd make sure the fire brigade were on their way first, though.

:D I would do the opposite. People in the firework factory are fit and well and would probably enjoy a longer life. The people in the hospital would probably all be in wheelchairs or bed-ridden and would hinder their own escape. On top of that sick people can be extremely irritating. Let them burn!:o

Going inside a fireworks factory that's on fire isn't a good idea - this page has a film of a real fire in one - the blast at the end is a bit spectacular. Can't remember how many died in this one :(

I don't know if I don't credit my own life as much as others or what, but I think in a few situations I would be willing to risk my own life if I could save others. Burning building doesn't seem too scary. :suspect: hmm, did think about being a fireman as a kid.

Depends on if I thought Id live if I did it, if I thought there was a good chance of dying theres no way Id risk my life for someone I didnt know!

yeah, I think you would have to do atleast some analysis before running in. If you went in, saved someone, got out unharmed though. I think you would be ontop of the world.

I would ring for help and then go in, if I thought it would help.

I would never go in.. the inside of a burning house is horrible!! when our house was on fire this women just stood outside screaming.. worked quite well actually.. she had called the fire brigade..service...rescue.. first though!
