View Full Version : Out on the town tonight!
osiris 26-10-2005, 11:38 AM Hey y'all!
What's the most unique lad's night out that anyone can suggest? (Within the realms of reality and NOT on a limitless budget)
It's my best mate's birthday tonight and we're going round town but I really don't wanna do the usual S1/Varsity/V bar thing. We're almost definitely gonna end up in the Leady so no out of town suggestions please. Also, most of us lads (including me) aren't single, so no saunas/massage parlours thanks.
BruciesBabe, the first round's on you tonight darling, we'll all miss you later, hope you're feeling better!
FYI we're more dance/hiphop/rnb than rock fans.
Maybe I'm simply lacking imagination today but whatever, all useful comments will be welcomed!

Yeah, kinda thought about that already, may well do that. But for the same money I think he'd rather go to a sauna, in fact it might even be cheaper to go to a sauna! Lol!
Seriously though, we want a laugh, we're out to get merry n maybe lob oursleves at velcro walls or summat equally silly!
neeeeeeeeeek 26-10-2005, 01:45 PM Get to John lewis and each buy yourselves a large ball of elastic, go out on the town, get trashed, then climb up one of the many cranes that are dotted about at the moment and do an impromptu bungee jump.
:D

Thanks for that neeeeeeeeeek, really useful, but don't ya think JLP is a little dear for laggy bands? Surely one of the bargain stores on the moor would offer us better value for money?
I presume you will be up for demonstrating the technique, perhaps we should arrange for a tv news crew so you can show off your superior intellect to the whole region (somehow I don't think you'd quite be a big enough story for national news!)?
neeeeeeeeeek 26-10-2005, 02:23 PM I only suggested JLP for your safety. My concern was that pound shop elastic may not take the strain.. Can't have you smashing into the concrete and spilling all that half digested beer and Kebab all over the place!
If that suggestion does not tickle your buds then find a nice bar with many many fire extinguishers and create your own foam party, or go to the Brown Bear and take spirit related bets on what strange stolen items you will get offered.. Razor Blades are the Odds on Favourite, Bacon or chocolate are pretty safe bets.. Tom Toms seem to be worth a gamble at the moment, should win a vodka or two with one of them.

Now that's more like it!! Quality ents suggestions, thanks! I'm gonna see if I can get good odds on a jar of coffee, hopefully my boat will float, at least good enough for one round!
Hhmmm, any scallies readin this, do NOT take this as promoting theft or incitement, but I could do with a new PDA or laptop and the odds on them turning up in the Brown Bear have got to be better than 10-1 so I'll split the drinks with you!! ;-)
p.s. thanks for the safety tips neek, your concern for my wellbeing is overwhelming!!
Preacher Man 26-10-2005, 04:18 PM mylene klass and a camera crew are filming in trippets (behind west st), tonight. its an open mike night
Bully_Beef 26-10-2005, 04:22 PM Call me boring for not suggesting any extreme sports etc.,
BUT if you want some good tunes and cheap drinks to start the night, come down "Gravy Train" @ Bar Matrix...
I'll be spinning some Hip hop, Funk, Broken Beats & RnB/Soul.
It's open while 12 and there are some top drinks offers on.
Sorry for the blatant advert, but I thought it might possibly be up your street:D

Thanks for that, Matrix is on our "usuals" list but the last couple of times we went the owners had "forgotten" to pay the electric bill and the venue was shut so if they can't be bothered, neither can we! Acutally that's kinda harsh so maybe, but it's a poor thing when a bar making that much money can't be bothered to pay their bills.

That's totally fair enough mate. In fact, I turned up to play last week and they hadn't bothered to mention it to me either.:(
Still, I'm assured it will be open tonight.:D
neeeeeeeeeek 26-10-2005, 04:54 PM OOo, I almost forgot that the amazing DJ Gouch is playing Tequila? on West street later.. muchos drink offers and sexy ladies a plenty.. (Or so I hear)
