Derbyshire-born actor Jon Jacobs (career here (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0414481/)) has bought up a virtual space resort being built in the online role-playing game, Project Entropia, for the tidy sum of £56,200.
Does anyone else find this scale of virtual trading – with real money – completely incomprehensible?

Im building an invisible nudist beach populated by 19 year old Swedish Blonde bikini models!!
It contains a 5* Hotel with naked room service, and naked chefs (not Jamie Oliver), in fact all staff in the hotel are naked, female and 19. Everyday there is naked volleyball and each guest has a private jacuzzi where they are allowed to take 4 members of staff for an hour of the day to bathe with.
If anyone would like to vitually stay at my invisible resort then please pay in visible currency.
I accept paypal and any offer considered.

I wouldn't ever do something like this... but you've got to remember that you can change currency 'from' and 'to' real money on this game.
Therefore, were he to 'rent out' plots of land on his space resort he could make money on rental fees. This could then be converted back to real cash. If the place is big enough and loads of people online wanted to pay to stay, he could end up making profits in the £1000's!!
Not to mention selling the resort at a later time for even more than he paid in the first place...
Mad!

He can make money out of it though. For example he gets mining rights and can mine for stuff he can sell in the game. Then he can sell the game money on ebay for real money...
So it isnt just "nothing"!
