Did anyone else see the tram crash into a bus on West St last night, about quarter to eight? I was on the 52 bus when we heard a loud honk from the tram before it smashed into the back of us.. luckily no-one was hurt.
Tram had a smashed windscreen and the bus was knocked forwards about 5 metres. The bus wasn't too badly damaged as it overtook me just after getting off to walk home :)
i went passed at about 9pm the bus was being towed away but tram was still there with police guiding traffic around it so it may not have been the same bus that passed you this one had all the back panel removed and was attatched to large towing vehicle
Hmmmmm don't trams have brakes :loopy: They seem to think they totally own the road.

As with most public transport these days - especially cabs - the correct way to go is......."honk horn, THEN brake'!:loopy:
Two tram crashes in two days? That's bad luck

Beats me that tram drivers are paid more than bus drivers All they have to do is stop and and go, open and close the doors and ring their little bell.
They don't have to dodge other traffic 'cos they can't anyway. And they don't have to take fares and issue tickets, put up with stroppy teenagers and screaming infants.
Now it looks as if they're out to make West Street a no-go area for buses :loopy:
