erm...play an equal part with whom?
school? or partner?
sorry, jsut wondered!

I think i play an equal part in my child education - my kids school is very parent-friendly, and welcomes feedback, discussion and are open to criticism should there be any. Parents can contribute to the learning process by following the teachers guidelines, which at rivelin school comes out reguarly (they get homework sheets every half term outlining what is being covered each week in each subject). in foundation stages and y3, you have a reading record to fill in, with room for you to make comments/ ask questions.
parents are encouraged to assist in class, help with visits and you can contribute to any learning materials you feel will help.

as for equal part with partner, then that would be a no. my other half works a 16 hour day and doesnt have the time or energy to do much with the kids!!
