I think Ten is their best album also. I don't rate the chances of them playing in Sheffield too high.

Yeah, I'm a Pearl Jam fan. I like both Ten and Vs. I saw them in Manchester a few years back and I was disappointed that they didn't play either Alive or Jeremy! Gutted! They were still excellent though.

I don't think they'll play Sheffield either if they play in the UK. They'd probably do Manchester again though. **Keeping fingers crossed for Sheffield**

Huge fan, seen them live many times over the years. Love all their albums. Ten is the classic as a whole album but some of the other albums have some of my fav tunes on. Last time they came to the UK, I saw them both nights at wembly arena and they played different sets. Wasn't dissapointed.

I'm also into Motherlovebone, Green River, Loves Co, Temple of the dog, Mad Season etc. Anyone else?

I was miss grunge queen! I mentioned those bands above as they all have links with Pearl Jam. I love many others also, Soundgarden, Screaming Trees, Alice in Chains, Mudhoney, Blind Melon, Brad, Satchel, Three Fish etc oh how it all brings back memories. Pearl Jam certainly wins awards for longevity :)

Andy78

yes to all the above too. I kinda grew up with most of these bands. Really miss those days, when there would be at least 30 of us at the reading festival, now we're lucky to have 5. Oh nostalgia...h

I got "Ten" last week.

Didn't reckon much to it, to be honest. Seemed like a crap version of RHCP.

don't worry rarstar doesn't like anything good! Look at his LOTR posts! :loopy:

I agree though, you can't compare PJ and RHCP. And how can ten be a crap version of (I assume he's talking about) By the way? Ten came out first!!

Rarstar, out of interest, do you like other RHCP albums?

Panda: Certainly!

I didn't mean they sound alike, just that they drone on and on without actually saying anything.

I've listened to it twice and that was my first impression I'm afraid.

Having said that, I will persevere with it, as I don't think I know anyone who's ever said they don't like Pearl Jam.

Foxxx: ******!

>>> Rarstar, out of interest, do you like other RHCP albums?
I don't like any RHCP albums. Including BTW, although I've no idea why you singled that one out.
I own a couple and there's a few songs I like, but the albums are generally boring.

If you're that interested, here's (http://unitedite.co.uk/music.htm) a list of what I'm carrying around on my MP3 player at the moment.
