My son has asked to crochet his friend a 'gimp' and has supplied the pattern. a bit extreme for me but I would like a pair of fingerless gloves or a lovely scarf. What about you?
P.S don't ask what a gimp is as it's rude and you know how I hate anything like that ;)

A nice pair of mittens would be lovely, but I reckon I will have to do them myself. Might even wrap them too. Sad, but I could act surprised...... :loopy:

I'll have a new sweater please (I'm working on it, second cuff to go).
Wheezy - I wrap myself a few interesting things and label them from the dog. The family all look at each other thinking it's one of the others who did it. It's the way to find that perfect present under the tree.

I requested a pattern and wool for my pressy.......and I got it.
Mind you, I had to source it myself on-line and get it delivered. :hihi:
At least I've had the pleasure of knitting it myself. I've just one sleeve and the front borders to go now and it's finished.
Sorry I don't know how to add a link etc but the pattern is "Click Aran" 9088 in the colour shown.
I'm really pleased with how this has knitted up. I've only recently picked up my needles again after many years break.....apart from knitted toys for my grandson over the years....and some baby knits.....and other bits and bobs.
Mmmmmm.......perhaps I never did actually put my needles away?
While I'm here I'll tell you about the family heirloom aran jumper which I started some 20+ years ago......for my eldest daughter who will be 30 this year.
I never finished it but I did eventually pick it up again with the intentions of finishing it for my son (28 this year).......but once again I never finished it! So then I had another go at it for my youngest daughter (26 this year).......guess what? :hihi:
I finally finished it last year.......this time with the intentions of my 7 year old grandson being the lucky one.......and it's too flippin big for him! It should fit him for next winter though......except judging by the look on his face he isn't really that bothered. :(
Do you think that 20+ years might be a record for knitting a jumper? :hihi:
I've thoroughly enjoyed reading through all the threads on here...........
power to the knitters elbows.
