The address of the centre is still I think Rockingham Lane just off West St. Don't think they have moved yet. Chapel Walk is their Charity Shop. hazel Plain Talker 24-10-2005, 17:57 that number is the charity shop that supports the sams. I do know that they have moved/ are moving from the rockinham lane area to somewhere near queens road. Registered Charity Number: 237180 owdlad 24-10-2005, 19:05 Not anything to do with this thread but did the Samaritans get anything sorted with the fund raising that was being planned ? Katya 24-10-2005, 19:24 Samaritans haven't yet moved - we don't have a date scheduled yet but work is happening on the new premises in Queens Road. We have enough funds now to do the work to allow us to move in and operate a service but we are still looking to raise money as it is going to be more expensive to maintain our new building and I believe we will soon be advertising for a volunteer to run Fund Raising for us..... If anyone is interested in becoming a volunteer, we are holding an Information Event at the Centre on Wednesday 2 November at 7:00 pm = do come along if you want to find out more about what's involved. owdlad 25-10-2005, 08:05 Thanks Katya, but it's too far for my owd legs to walk..:P Correct me if I am wrong, but didn't JoeP offer to help with your fund raising....a PM to him might get you a result. Katya 25-10-2005, 08:39 Thanks owdlad - we have been in touch with Joe P but methinks he is a tad too tied up with other stuff (no smutty stuff please!) to be able to give us the time we need.... owdlad 25-10-2005, 18:41 Perhaps you could try this idea that I have spotted on ebay. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5628925742&indexURL=2#ebayphotohosting Jon 03-12-2005, 21:46 They are very slow to reply on there 24 hour email help line:( hazel 04-12-2005, 07:17 The email helpline does not go directly to Sheffield. They get email from all over the world. For anyhting quick you would be better to ring. hazel Katya 04-12-2005, 13:30 Samaritans email support has a target to respond to emails within 24 hours - this is necessary because of the high volume of emails we get. On rare occasions, we do occasionally miss this target but we do try our best to avoid doing so. As Hazel says, if you need a quicker response then there is the option to telephone or to visit. The telephone number is 08457 909090 kirky 04-12-2005, 13:41 Originally posted by f_g Am applying to volunteer with the samaritans but where is the one in sheffield? thought you were a depressed pig :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: |
