British airways have low cost flights from Manchester. And they are really nice aircraft with good legroom and free in flight food

If you only want to go from Manchester then Jet 2 seem the only ones that do it had a quick look for you but it seems quite pricey £99 out bound and £26 return flight so dont know if it would be cheaper from else where in the country like nottingham East Midlands or bradford leeds??

Good luck with it though hope you get something!!

HLX fly to Cologne, Hannover and Stuttgart in Germany from Manchester.
The best bet to Budapest will probably be with EasyJet from Luton or Newcastle.

It is also worthwhile checking to see what BA do in advance, can be cheaper than regular flights.

The cheapest option I know for Budapest is Wizzair from Luton, they have currently offers for 14.98 each way, tax included, you may want to check it :)
